I keep trying to be excited for this CD, but I just feel like I'm not going to like it very much. I didn't like "Your Soul is Mine" very much. I know it is dumb to predict the sound of an album off of one song (and one that won't even be on the CD for that matter), but it just makes me think it will be SS Pt. 2 (production-wise and song-wise). I honestly hope I am proven wrong, though.

Who knows. I'll buy it anyway. I thought saviour sorrow wasn't bad, tho the previous albums were better.

I didn't not like Savior Sorrow, per se. I thought it was a fine album, but I just know Mushroomhead can do better (and has done better). I'm definitely excited for the new album and I hope they push the limits to create another great MRH CD.
As far as the production goes, I do not like the guitar or snare/kick sound on SS and I hope the new disc has better guitar tone/production.

Yea i noticed that some of the production value was a little underwhelming when listening to SS. That is definitely something that should be fixed for the next album.

Some of the stuff too me wasn't the proper level of volume as it should be compared to other elements of the music. Some instruments just didn't sound right.

For me the mix sounded hollow. The drums didn't sound like drums (the snare and kick sounded pretty lame in my opinion), the bass tone sounded less than exemplary, and things weren't that well balanced.
Also, I had a very long and VERY interesting conversation with Gravy at a show yesterday and he gave me some awesome info. First off...the CD WILL NOT be called "Slaughterhouse Road," but he couldn't tell us the title. I know that one song is called "Slaughterhouse" and it features a lot of guitar wanking. He also called another song out because of its "Pink Floyd"-esque style. He also said the mix was similar to Savior Sorrow's (which he didn't seem overly excited about). The reason Jason isn't on the CD is because the song he was on had Waylon and Jason screaming back and forth and instead of dealing with paying royalties, they just put Waylon on it. He said some other stuff, but I don't think he wants it shared.

Well Slaughterhouse Road was just the working title anyways. Figured it probably would get changed.

Yea, that name's been on the MRH website for a few days. I'm not keen on that name. It seems kind of lame to me.
